What’s better than photos on social? Videos on social!

by Becca Kelly

Keeping our audience engaged is one of the most important parts of managing our social media channels at Sundog. That’s why I’m taking on a project to implement a social video strategy at Sundog.

Our first step was to set up a brainstorming session with members of the internal team and get some ideas floating around. Video for social had been touched on a few times before I was around, but didn’t get much further than a conversation. We are finally in the beginning stages of a strategy!

Currently, I am putting together a draft strategy with more details. Although there were some great ideas in the brainstorm session, we’ll need to be realistic with both timelines and production guidelines. The most challenging part of this project is deciding where to start. Fortunately, I’ve had some great mentors to guide me through this process.

Next, I will present the more detailed draft to the internal marketing and studios teams to get an idea of when and how this will all come together. Being an intern at Sundog has allowed me to grow in a professional environment and own what I do. I am so excited to see this project come to life on Sundog’s social media pages. When I leave this internship, I will be able to say I helped create a strategy from scratch and implement it in a business setting – and that’s pretty cool!

Updates to come!

Make it a great day!
