Putting My Social Video Strategy Into Action

by Becca Kelly

As the Sundog Social Media Intern, I was assigned a project to create a video strategy to implement on Sundog’s social pages. In a recent blog, I talked about the beginning stages of this project including brainstorming sessions, meetings with my advisor, and the start of a draft strategy. I’m here to give an update on the progress we’ve made and I’m excited to say – it’s happening!

Working closely with one of my advisors, I created a draft video strategy to present to the rest of the team. I had the opportunity to give my own recommendations based on the trends I’ve noticed on social and gain feedback from our experts! They had great input and are excited to help me in this process.

After presenting the more detailed draft video strategy to the team, I’m excited to say we are taking action steps toward making this plan a reality! It will take some time do draw out a more definite plan for the different types of videos, but I got the go-ahead to begin filming some culture-oriented videos for Sundog’s social pages. We have tons of ideas in the making and I can’t wait to see how they turn out on Sundog social in the future.

I will be trained by one of our studios experts here at Sundog to operate a user-friendly video  camera called Mevo. With limited video experience, I’m looking forward to getting some insight and tips from the professionals I work with. My first video shoot will be at our annual company meeting in August. I’m so excited to see how it turns out and to lay some social video groundwork for our next social media intern! Like our Facebook page to be one of the first to see the video!

Make it a great day!
